For the Mothers & Families
A Gentle Companion for the Journey After Birth
Motherhood can change us in ways we never expected.
Sometimes the birth itself lingers in the body.
Sometimes the early weeks, months or years after birth feel heavier than we imagined.
Sometimes life simply feels different now. More tender, more fragile, more demanding.
You may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, flat, angry, tearful, or not like yourself.
You may also feel deep love and gratitude alongside grief, fear, anger or confusion.
All of this can coexist. All belong.
You don’t need to identify with the word trauma for this space to support you.
If something inside you knows that your nervous system has been carrying a lot, you are welcome.
A gentle approach to healing after birth and the journey of becoming
Healing after birth is not something to push or fix.
This work understands healing as something that unfolds — when there is safety, choice, and enough support.
Here, we move slowly. We listen to the body. We honour your pace.
There is no expectation to “get over it. No timeline you must follow. No right way to feel.
Healing is approached as body-led, relational, and deeply human.
How this work may support you
This space is for you if you are:
integrating a difficult, overwhelming, or confusing birth - it felt too much, too fast, lonely
navigating anxiety, hypervigilance, shutdown, or emotional numbness
feeling disconnected from your body or sense of self
carrying exhaustion that rest doesn’t seem to touch
adjusting to motherhood after survival, loss, or medical intervention
wanting a softer, more compassionate way to live as a mother - still becoming
Support may include:
trauma-sensitive yoga
Slow, invitational movement that honours your bodynervous system awareness & care
Understanding what your body learned - through life, during birth and in parentingmeaning-making
Making space for your reflections and own language; story without pressure to relive or analyserelational support
Healing that recognises we are not meant to do this alone
Everything is offered with flexibility. You are always in charge of what you engage with — and what you don’t.
Ways to work together
You may enter this work in different ways. There is no “right” doorway. We begin where you are.
1:1 Postpartum Support
I currently offer private 1:1 support for mothers — in any stage of motherhood.
Whether you are newly postpartum or years into becoming, this is a space to pause, steady, and gently explore what pregnancy, birth and motherhood have awakened in you.
Our work weaves counselling, a trauma-sensitive lens, embodied awareness, and lived experience. It is relational. Slow. Within capacity.
If something in you feels ready for support, I invite you to get in touch. We can begin with a conversation about what you are needing and how I can best be there for you.
Begin Gently — On Your Own
The Sky Between Us is a soft introduction to this work.
A place to start from the heart.
A reflection on birth as a threshold.
A reminder that what you carry makes sense.
It includes a gentle, trauma-sensitive practice you can return to whenever you need — a resource to steady yourself in the in-between.
“The doors to the world of the wild Self are few but precious. If you have a deep scar, that is a door. If you have an old, old story, that is a door. If you love the sky and the water so much you almost cannot bear it, that is a door.”
