The Sky Between Us

An Introduction

Motherhood revealed something I could not unsee.

We are not separate from one another. There is always a field — the social, relational, and ancestral field we live beneath.

In birth and motherhood, something awakens between us — between mother and baby. Between partners. Between birth workers and women. Between past and present. Between who we were and who we are becoming.

No two births unfold the same way. No two mothers walk into the room carrying the same history, the same attachments, the same longings, the same unspoken stories.

All my years of study — psychology, trauma-sensitive frameworks, pregnancy and postnatal yoga — shaped how I understand birth, life, and death. But this work did not begin in theory. It came through my body.

What lingered was not only memory, but imprint. In the body. On the way I reach for my children. On the way I sometimes pull back.

I began sitting with what felt like too much. Learning not to rush toward fixing. Slowly realising that something is always born between us — not only a baby, but a new field of relationship.

This e-book is an introduction to the longer work that is unfolding. It is written from the place where grief and love meet, where silence begins to find voice. Where meaning is made not by erasing the hard parts — but by holding them.

“I write because I can’t stop feeling. And feeling is a kind of walking in the dark.” - Clarice Lispector

This book is for every mother whose body remembers. For the woman who senses that something meaningful happened, and that it’s still moving inside her. For mothers who feel tender, unsettled, grateful and grieving, strong and unsure — sometimes all at once.

You don’t need to identify with the word trauma. You don’t need to know exactly what you’re looking for. You only need to notice that something is still here — asking to be met.

This is a gentle place to begin.

Who This Is For

A Gentle Embodied Practice Included

With this e-book, you’ll receive access to a trauma-sensitive grounding practice.

The practice is about presence and choice. Moving slowly. Resting without earning it. Listening to sensation without overwhelm and rebuilding trust with your body at your own pace.

You can begin when you’re ready. You can pause at any time. You remain in choice.
